Apple Crisp Recipe

Now that you have fresh local apples, make a mouth-watering sweet treat with our Apple Crisp Recipe!

Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Use an 8 inch by 8 inch baking dish or six 8 ounce ramekins. Serves 6.

Step 2: Peel 6 large apples. Core and slice in ¼ inch sections. Toss in a bowl with:

  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 T. cinnamon
  • 2 T. flour
  • pinch salt
  • pinch allspice

Step 3: Fill ramekins, or baking pan, heaping the apples. Bake 30 minutes, or until bubbly.

Step 4: Combine in a small bowl:

  • 1/3 cup butter, cold, cut into small pieces
  • 1 cup oatmeal
  • 1 cup brown sugar

Step 5: Mix loosely with fingers. Top cooked apples generously. Bake 10 minutes or until golden brown.
