We are honored to be highlighted by the following directories, publications and websites. See how other guests and industry professionals have enjoyed the perfect vacation experience at our New Hampshire B&B.
“Chesterfield Inn is located in Southern NH’s Connecticut River Valley, making it a nice choice for romantic weekend getaways in New England…. each (guest room) has large picture windows to help bring nature inside…”
“Back on Route 9, just opposite Welcome Hill Road, the Chesterfield Inn stands on a hillside above the Connecticut River. Large windows in the guest rooms make the most of the sunset view and the surrounding landscapes, which in the summer include flower gardens.”
“They’ve created a Yankee-luxe home away from home for corporate travelers, parents of students at area colleges (Keene State, Marlboro, Landmark), girlfriend groups, and of course leaf peepers in autumn. The on-site restaurant is known for being one of the best in the area, so, yes, bring on the blizzard.”
“With exceptional food (wonderful breakfast of course) and a serene atmosphere, here you will find a romantic and calm escape. Six of the rooms at the inn are pet-friendly, too, if you have a special canine or feline friend you can’t bear to leave behind.”
“Escape to New Hampshire for your private nuptials at the Chesterfield Inn, a luxury bed and breakfast in a renovated farmhouse. Set at the top of a winding road, the 10-acre property overlooks the scenic Connecticut River Valley near the border of Vermont.”
“Whether you want to explore the surrounding area by bike or hiking trail, or if you’re more interested in the art and museums that Chesterfield has to offer, everyone can find something to enjoy in the surrounding area of the Inn.”
“Privacy is of the utmost importance at the inn, which boasts that couples never have to leave their room if they don’t want to. Most of the rooms have private balconies or patios with dining tables, where meals can be served in seclusion.”
“The inn’s rooms are comfortable and lovely, many with their own private fireplaces. But you’ll find yourself meandering down to the lobby, where a wood stove tempts you to pull up a chair.” View PDF
“You can relax in the meadow replete with wildflowers or sit in the parlor to enjoy the warm fire. Breakfast is cooked to order and served in the dining room on the porch.”
“Gazing out the windows of the wonderful Chesterfield Inn, one can’t help but relax in this idyllic setting. High on a knoll, guests have a magnificent view of the grounds and the surrounding countryside.”
“On a frosty autumn evening, nothing satisfies like Chef Bob Nabstedt’s game dishes at the Chesterfield Inn in West Chesterfield. Enjoy smoked wild boar bratwurst, delicate pheasant sausage made with cognac…”
“For over 30 years we have held innkeeping seminars, written a manual and provided financial information as well as expounding on the personal side of innkeeping. We held another seminar…a few months ago at the Chesterfield Inn in Chesterfield, NH.”
“Chesterfield Inn, West Chesterfield, N.H. – Phil and Judy Hueber purchased the Chesterfield Inn in 1987 and have been honored to be known as the Chesterfield Inn innkeepers since then.”

The Main Inn building sprawls across the knoll at the top of the inn’s winding driveway. The old farmhouse with barn and sheds attached was renovated into a country inn in 1984 with nine large comfortable guest rooms. The Cottage was built in 1995, and houses two rooms, which have private entrances, king beds, whirlpool tubs, gas fireplaces and private decks stepping out to the back lawn. The Johanna Wetherby Building was built in 1992, and has four guest rooms which all have private entrances, king beds, gas fireplaces and terraces opening out onto the back lawn.
We’re situated on 10 acres of land on a knoll just 2 miles from the Connecticut River and the Vermont border. Enjoy staying in the country but have easy access to quaint towns of Keene, NH and Brattleboro, VT. We’re just a 2.5 hour drive from Boston, MA just under 4 hours from New York City.
Open to both inn guests and the general public, our country restaurant offers gourmet cuisine that highlights what’s best about the area in each season. Celebrate special occasions or just treat yourselves to a dining experience that you’ll remember forever. Our ever changing menu and full bar highlighting local beers and spirits and our wonderful wine list will keep foodies coming back time and time again. We offer both inside and outside dining with blankets and heaters to allow guests a choice is their dining environment.
