About Our Country Inn

We're known for a relaxed atmosphere, delicious food and gracious hospitality

Phil and Judy Hueber purchased the Chesterfield Inn in 1987 and have been honored to be known as the Chesterfield Inn innkeepers since then. Our romantic New Hampshire inn has a reputation for a relaxed atmosphere, delicious food, and personal service. We are proud members of Distinctive Inns of New England, Select Registry, and enjoy a #1 ranking on TripAdvisor.

The inn consists of the Main Building, the Cottage, and the Johanna Wetherby Building sitting on 10 acres of land on a knoll just 2 miles from the Connecticut River and the Vermont border. The inn has over-sized windows everywhere which bring you closer to the natural beauty surrounding the inn. Six of the rooms are pet friendly, and children are welcome.

Let us set the scene...

Our romantic New Hampshire Inn is perched on a hill with a winding driveway leading around the pond from the entrance on Cross Road. The pond is edged with cattails and willow trees and has some very plump green frogs in its waters. On a summer night, the frogs provide a loud chorus from the banks of the pond.

The backyard meadow is a mass of wild flowers. There is a mown path through the meadow to explore and is the perfect place for our guests traveling with dogs to wander. The blue stone terrace off of the dining rooms has gardens on all four sides and steps down to the flat lawn where many a wedding has taken place.
