Grading System – did you know there are different flavors of syrup?
- Golden – great over ice cream.
- Amber – full bodied for folks that love the classic maple syrup flavor.
- Dark – this has a more pronounced maple syrup with a strong flavor.
- Very Dark – nearly black this syrup is great for cooking.

This family run farm is tapping some of the same trees their ancestors tapped over a century ago! They tap and have 100% control of the production of the maple syrup guaranteeing exceptional quality. They have 3,000 taps which produces around 1,000 gallons a year.
Paradise Farm Sugarhouse – 8.7 miles from the inn.

“Vermont makes it special, we make it great!!” That is the Paradise Farm motto. Guests are treated with a plethora of products including candies, pies, jams, mustard, relish and dips, fudge, candy and their famous cider donuts that go exceptionally well with their hot cider.
Lilac Ridge Farm – located 8.8 miles from the inn.

This farm started in 1937 and has morphed into 600 acres of farmland. They have a 50-cow organic dairy, a 10-acre market garden and a 2,000 tap sugaring operation. Visiting this lovely farm is a must.
The Robb Family Farm – located 9.5 miles from the inn.

Established in 1907, this multi-generational farm has exceptional Vermont maple syrup products! Each spring begins the sugar season. They collect the sap, boiling it down the traditional way and them bottle the glorious syrup. They have 8,500 taps and make maple candy, ice cream and maple coated nuts.
Stuart & John’s Sugar House – located 12 miles from the Chesterfield Inn.

Built in 1974 this sugaring operation has perfected their skill and are known for their quality today. They have 10,000 taps and produce 2,500 gallons of syrup each year. Patrons can enjoy breakfast and lunch at dinner certain times of year at this sugar house.

This sugar house offers maple candies, fudge, honey and more. Go on in and taste a bit of heaven.
